My apologies to Sue/chemocurl, but I can't let this one go. The OP joins this site, shows no interest in becoming part of the GardenWeb community by not writing a personal blurb or filling out her/his trade list, and does not read the forum rules before posting as is expected of every new member. Then she/he proceeds to immediately violate forum rules with her/his very first post. Not a good way to get started here. IMHO you have every reason to be concerned about what is going on in the world as you have expressed, but panicking, acting irrationally, being "desperate", and "seriously freaking out" are not solutions and at best will only put you on an equal footing with 95% of the human population if a crisis indeed occurs. In other words, you will be toast. If getting a bunch of seeds with no further short term or long range planning will give you comfort and will put your mind at ease, then simply purchase a survival seed kit. There are many options available for purchase online from some dependable companies, do an internet search using keywords "survival seeds" and do some shopping. If nothing else, your purchase will help the economy. And forget about Bambi. I guarantee you that experienced hunters will immediately take all the deer if/when the food supply network collapses.
