I had a BEAP offer recently and as usual I stated that whoever responded had to post on my offer and send me an email and not to use GW's email. I received a GW email from her and noticed that she had nothing on her member page and had just registerd. Since she had her email address on her member page, I sent her my address, received her stamps and sent her the seed I was offering. I don't really mind. I hope she does plant them and I hope they do well. From now on my requirements will be even more strict. I feel that everyone should take time to fill out their member page. Thanks again to Sue for all she does. She is truely GW's resident busy body! I mean that in a good way because you are always very "busy" helping every "body". jim_6b

You're sure welcome. Hey thanks, what section would you prefer? Either is fine really. The advantage of putting things on your trade list page is that it can be edited, whereas posts can't be. I'm sorry, but asking for seeds to buy or even for them for free is not permitted on the exchange forums. If you have nothing to trade at this time, you are welcome to reply to the many generous 'offers' made by member who have excess seeds to share. Just look for posts that say sase, sasbe, free, for postage, beap, newbies, etc. The link to the Special Instructions for the Exchange is broken, but here they are in a thread. Special Instructions There are also lots of links in the thread that cover seeds for postage, postage costs, etc. Hmmm...I see your Member Page email link is showing in your post, but is still not showing as a link on your Member Page. You will need to check the box to allow members to email you via the site in order to get the link to show. If you really have no seeds to offer to trade at this time, you could either purchase a few locally to list for trading, or else respond to the seeds for postage offers. If you are truly set on that one particular seed though, it might be easiest and cheapest to just consider ordering it on line. Thanks for the info Angela, but whatever Amy has on her member page just barely begins to download on to my computer and then it is gone to a white page that says this member doesn't exist. Could be that whatever Amy has used for her graphic background has something on it that is being blocked by my computer's protections as well as several other people that I had try for me. this happens on both Macs and PCs This doesn't happen or appear on anyone else's member page This is what i get when I try to access Amy's member page Amy has e-mailed me about seeds, so things are fine on that part. have responded to all new posters. I figured I'd put my 2 cents in anyway & see if anyone wanted me, even though I joined the site last year. lol I'd put up my 'wanted' list & what I have to trade, but I don't know how to do that. I live near Tulsa, Oklahoma.. Some maps say that's zone 7, some say it's zone 6, so I don't know exactly what zone I'm in. Like kawaii_fruit, I am mostly interested in vegetables & edible flowers, as well as collecting some more exotic/different/unusual kinds of plants. I also have an interest in bonsai (but want to know more about it, first!). Like Kawaii_Fruit, I also don't have a lot of room to work with. I have a 4x8 square foot garden & lots of containers around there. I use compost, potting mixes & that kind of thing for everything, except nasturtiums. I planted those in the ground, since they like bad soil & little water. :D lol Right now I have adzuki beans, green beans, korean summer squash, a few varieties of tomatoes, thai purple eggplants, a variety of herbs, 2 kinds of Asian watermelons, several varieties of peppers, multi-colored bell peppers (as well as the usual ones), korean shiso (i have an abundance of that & would be interested in giving some away, if it wouldn't hurt the plants), I also have some bunching onions, 2 kinds of chives, garlic, shallots, onion bulbs, Kyoto red carrots, Japanese kabocha pumpkins, Korean summer radishes & ponytail radishes & several types of leaf lettuce, arugala & rainbow swiss chard. As for herbs, I have 4 types of basil, 2 types of mint, 2 types of dill, parsley, chamomile, catnip & that's all I can think of at the moment.. lol I am interested in organic gardening, composting & growing different kinds of ginger, lemongrass, etc.. (I cook a lot of Asian foods).. I would also like to learn about growing water plants, like lotus (for the roots).. :)
