I don't know what "tea eggs" are! Please fill me in. Do you mean crack the shell but don't remove it so the dye would go through to the egg?

You can take hard boiled eggs and pickle them in beet juice.

How neat!! I want some duck eggs, I love coloring and decorating Easter eggs. Something else to think about as far as uses for those duck and goose eggs: A friend of mine from work asked to get some eggs from me because she things they are pretty...I have blue/green and various shades of brown eggs. She wanted to make gifts of tiny little seedling pots made from the eggs. She said she was going to drain the eggs and dry them, then somehow cut the top off and fill with potting soil and plant the seeds right in those. I thought it was a neat idea if I ever had the time. I tried this with the same process however there is a thick film that once you remove the eggs from the dye it peels right off. What am I doing wrong??

Can you tell me how you can get that film off the duck egggs someone said wash with soap and water Any info would help

After rinsing the eggs in soap and water, you need to soak them in vinegar for about 1-2 minutes first before boiling. The vinegar peels the films right off and you'll feel the eggs have that same matt texture as chicken eggs at that point. From there, you're good to boil and dye! Just dyed some this weekend, worked perfectly!
