Oh and to answer your question I have been feeding them miracle grow once a week. That's what I suspected and that is where all the salt damage is coming from. No garden vegetable requires weekly feeding unless it is grown in a container and then only in a well diluted form. And no garden vegetable with the exception of leafy greens like lettuce/chard/spinach requires such high dose nitrogen feeding, much less on a weekly basis. MG and fertilizers like it are ok when used properly. When used excessively the massive amounts of salts they contain build up on the leaves and in the soil. The symptoms on the plants are excessively dark green leaves, burned crispy leaf edges and bleached inter-veinal patches in the leaf tissue. As the leaf tissue is destroyed then bacteria and fungi move in on the destroyed leaf tissues and that is what the yellow patches in the cuke leaf pic might be. Look on the underside of that leaf. If there are black patches of mold or white fuzzy/furry growths then disease is starting. If not then they are just salt damaged patches that haven't faded to white yet. Since these plants are apparently in ground, reduce your MG use to no more often than monthly and preferably no more than every 6 weeks and focus on applying it to the soil and root area, not the leaves. Oh crud! I actually did do a search on squash leaves and so much came up that it was useless, but down below I saw the other thread, so I went out to look for svb. On this particular plant, there is no yellow stuff and no holes that I could see, but on two other plants there were. Does it matter what time of day you do the surgery on the squash vine to get the worm out? I'd like to wait until evening when it's cooler and not as windy if that works. Crud!

1st a grumpy note: This is your 3rd post about the same topic-- it's very challenging for us to keep up with folks who are a moving target. Okay, grumpy off. The "white" may be powdery mildew. But I can't determine if it's powdery stuff or the normal silvering of some leaves. (The bright sun interferes) The hole at the edge of the leaf in the 1st image -- Is that the only leaf that's damaged? Or only a few? If so, not problem. The holes in the other leaves are small and few. The rounded ones may be from critter bites. The lines and angular tears may be mechanical damage. Overall, not to worry.

My cucumbers and squash/zucchini plants get this. It's mildew...are there sort of white spots on them too? That was my first thought when I saw this picture. Also, yellow leaves mean over watering...brown leaves mean not enough water. Perhaps you over watered too.
