Personally, I would say that it would be worth keeping. I grow a lot of my trees from seeds. Citrus trees "should" produce fruits between 7-13 years. The chances of it producing the same fruit you took it from are about half, the other half would be a hybrid. The Minneola Tangelo is a hybrid grown from a seed. As I said before in another forum if you have yourself a hybrid that produces a new kind of citrus fruit that is delicious and flavorful, you may be able to patent and market it.

C&J..Was the tree that fruit from a seedling? If so, congrats..How old is the tree? Many seeds that are sowed are not true to type. Also, it can take many years for seedlings to produce fruit unless the tree is grafted. Even then it'll take a couple yrs. To sow, place seeds in well-draining soil..if you're going to sow perhaps you should wait till spring, otherwise you'll need to use bottom-heat..germination depends on light and warmth. Use plastic w/ventilation for a humid environment. Slit plastic to ventiate. Do you know how to graft? Toni

I'm looking for seeds from these two plants: chlorophytum comosum (Spider plant), full green leave variety. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chlorophytum_comosum Zamioculcas zamiifolia (ZZ plant), https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zamioculcas. These two common house plants are too easy to propagate from cuttings. For this reason it is very rare to find vendor that sells their seeds. I exclusively grow plants from seeds so please if you have them please let me know Thank you.
