What to do with new empty space - thx to new puppy

I have a 2.5'x10' garden with several types of plants in it, that I have worked very hard on all summer and have (for the first time) had a lot of success. This is the first year that I have managed to get my garden looking exactly how I wanted it and now I am at a loss.

Yesturday my 4mth old puppy decided to dig in it and dug up 6 plants - 1 white nicotiana, 1 purple nicotiana, 3 marigolds and one of my leafy foliage plants (name unsure?). Now I have a 2.5' sq section of nothing!

Does anyone have any ideas of how I can make this look somewhat ok since of course it had to be my front garden?

It is at the left end of my garden closest to my front porch. From left to right I have the following left : Siberian Irises, orange Marigolds, Pink and Yellow Snapdargons, Mini light pink Rose bush, green/yellow foliage, Ornage Marigolds, White Nicotiana, pink Snapdragons, A burghandy colour Dahlia, Pink Rose bush, and some more orange Marigolds.

I don't know how to fix it, Please anyone help

Thank you so much.
