My list is a little shorter than Dave's. I like tomatoes, peppers (both hot & sweet), beans (bush & pole snaps) and squashes (summer winter & pumpkins). I don't actively seek but somehow always seem to have broccoli, cauliflower and cabbage seed too.

I'll add spinach, chard and snow peas to that! :)

Collards and kale. Those are used to fill gaps in the garden as the season progresses. I seed tomatoes, peppers, squash, etc once a year, lettuce three times, but these get seeded multiple times starting in May and ending in September. Yes, I could use other things (such as bok choi or dandelion), but when you factor in nutrition and cold hardiness these are the ones.

Squash got SVB? Fennel got hit by late frost? Corner of asparagus bed got killed when downspout submerged that part of the yard? Favas are done? Lettuces are done? Garlic picked? Animal chomped tomato down to a nub? The answer is collard or kale.

I have a big box of seeds in the freezer, because I'm a sucker for trying new varieties of things, and plus I also save a bit of seed from year to year of easy things like garlic chives, basil, tomatoes that I liked, capsicums (sweet and hot). If seed sales stopped tomorrow I'd still be going for quite a few years! But the things I always make sure I have seeds for are tomatoes, pumpkin/winter squash, peas, beans, broad beans, capsicums, eggplants, kale, rocket (arugula), pak choy and lettuce. There are other things I grow, (like fennel, turnip and various greens), but this is the must have list, particularly for the warmer months.

Hello my name is Holly and I am addicted to collecting seeds. I stopped by the said store yesterday and love the suggestions you all provided. I ended up getting about 6 flower seeds for next year, as well as a whole bunch of veggie seeds. Lets just say I'm set for the next 2 years. I ended up spending $25 in total (with my 50% off coupon).
