I would recommend mixing your own soil so you get exactly what you need/want. I personally use the following formula:

1 part vermiculite
1 part perlite
2 parts peat moss/coco coir
2 parts compost

You could also just use compost 100%.

If you are set on buying a mix I would look over the ingredients and make sure they are not just top soil with a chemical fertilizer mixed in. Also, make sure the mix doesn't contain a moisture retention agent.

I would bet the main difference between those different mixes is the pre-mixxed fertilizer in them. For a garden, lots of nitrogen promotes thick growth of leaves and stems, but a vegetable patch requires less nitrogen and more phosphorous and potassium in order to grow good fruit.

Quick breakdown of the macro-nutrients and what they do:

Nitrogen - Important component of chlorophyll, lots of nitrogen promotes growth of leaves and stems.

Phosphorus - Used to convert energy into starches and sugars.

Potassium - Overall plant health, does a little bit of everything.
