Has Anyone Heard from Grovespirit?

Has anyone heard from Grovespirit? I'm concerned. She had signed up for a couple of swaps in the Round Robin forum, but no one has heard from her since. I know she was ill before Christmas. I think she was putting off a surgery she needed until spring.

I have not been in touch with her, but see there has been 3 nice reviews done for her yesterday and today.

Hope all is well and that she checks in here or there soon. Keep us posted please.

Have you ever heard back from grovespirit yet? I sent a private email (not through the GW system) Jan 31st, and have not gotten a reply.

Might anyone have any info to share? I hope all is well.

She has posted since moving to Florida for kitchen help, but that was months ago. I was thinking about her the other day when I saw an old post of hers. Whenever I read an old thread, I see someone's name who seems to have disappeared completely, even though they were very active at one time.

Notwithstanding the tragedies that have occurred in N. California... I feel I must say something in defence of Eucalyptus trees, at least the ones we grow here, and which many of us love and put to good use... ...There are I think 3 varieties that have been popular for a long time... Eucalyptus gunnii, Eucalyptus dalrympleana and perhaps the most attractive of all Eucalyptus pauciflora ssp. niphophila [Snow Gum].... ...you can see any of these pop up in gardens all over the place... I've grown 2 of the 3... We now also have 2 dwarf versions, Eucalyptus gunnii 'Azura' and 'France Bleu'... ..'Azura' is very dwarf, almost a miniature... 'FB' is larger but very slow growing, a dwarf gunnii.. I would love to have 'Azura' and might be on my shopping list... The way to use gunnii I think is to give screening to a garden where you are overlooked by a neighbouring property that is on higher ground. A single specimen tree will do, it grows 6 foot a year, so within 2 years or so you start to have cover. It's crucial with this plant to cut 6 foot off the top with one incision every year in April, when it has reached just beyond the height you need for screening... if you miss a year it gets away from you and you have lost control.... I also used my plant to support a rambling rose... I grew 'Leontine Gervais' up it right to the top, where it would then cascade downwards, more so after the annual prune... the light pink and the blue foliage I found very attractive.. ..I also planted Cistus purpureus around the base and a tree lupin... gardeners here don't make enough use of these trees like this.. they plant them, neglect them, and before you know it, you've got a 40 foot tall tree on your hands.. there is one in a garden near me, it's about the tallest tree around here, perhaps 60 foot or more, that is just not the way to do it in my opinion.. used to best effect as single specimens, these are superlative trees, and I absolutely love them... I do not like to see them planted en masse, like a small wood [there are some here like that]... I'm so sorry, and was not aware, they had been over planted in California and that they have contributed to the fires..

She has been posting on the winter sowing forum. If you don't hear from her via e-mail you might check there to see if her e-mail has changed.

I sent her an e-mail a couple of hours ago, but no response yet. remember though, as I post it is about 2:30 pm her time, she's in Hawaii.

I did do a search on the WS forum and her name didn't come up. I haven't noticed her posting there, though could be I missed her posts.

Yes, I too am wondering about her! We have a trade in progress and I emailed to get her addy to send her seeds and she has never answered me back! Will continue to try and see if she'll answer. I know she was really looking forward to the seeds, but also know she was going to be moving. So maybe she is just without internet right now.

Yes, I did hear from Grovespirit! She emailed me last weekend. She's doing ok health-wise, but overextended herself in swaps. I think her illness in December set her back and she just jumped in to too many things too soon.

I was glad to hear she's doing ok!

Has anyone heard from Grovespirit since the 6th of February?
We had a trade in progress and I have had hers ready for 3 weeks now. I can't get an answer to my emails. I can't get her to send addy so I can send.
Please if anyone knows anything, plmk. I am worried about her.

I emailed Melinda (ilovefarac) privately in February, and she told me that she got her seeds from me just fine and was happy with them. :)

Things were extremely busy and chaotic around my home for a while (Jan thru March) due to moving related activities, a job search, and other challenges... plus, there were also interruptions in my Net access during that time frame too.

Health wise, I have been OK, just suddenly found I had way too much to do thanks to sudden changes in my personal life.

I am having surgery in a couple days (Friday March 20th) and have high hopes that this surgery will permanently end most or all of my ongoing health troubles.
