All you have listed are spring flowering bulbs....and were bought understandably in the fall for planting in the fall. The reason why is so they can be given a soil temperature that begins their rooting and, with "true bulbs", like the tulips, they develop roots which protects them from the coming freezing temperatures. Thet requre a cooling period which begins their roots--once formed, they then are protected against temperatures down to 40 below C or F. I take it your bulbs have been kept in storage...on a shelf somewhere, maybe in a paper bag, and show no sign of roots formed. In that case....well, its not a pretty picture....they cant come to anything....its impossible....they don't have roots. Here it is 4 months past when they should have gone into the ground. You could try to plant them outside in the ground...pull the snow away, pour hot water onto the ground, dig what you can, and then mound potting soil up to form a mound which you then put the bulbs into and mulch them heavily. Perahaps there is still time to form some roots....some..maybe. Otherwise, they are just fodder for the squirrels to dig up. There is no point in trying to promise you your bulbs can still attain something....you've left it too late. If you have a 2012 calendar....go to the month of October...start at Sunday the 2nd..put a big "B" there and then go to Saturday the 29th...and put a big "S" there. Fill in the space with "U" "Y"....."B" "U" "L" "B" put across the page under that "p".."l" "a" "n" "t" "b" "u" "l" "b" "s" BUY BULBS/PLANT BULBS. Then you wont forget that bulbs need to be planted immediately when you buy them....if not that day, the next. The bulbs cannot be stored longer than 2 - 3 months...in the refrigerator away from fruit. But for these if you don't plant them ...throw them on the compost pile--they'd at least amount to something.

I'd look at Crocus and Chionodoxa, plus Anemone coronaria, if you have somewhere to raise them over winter. Some of the Galanthus are nice and the leaves aren't hugely conspicuous as they fade away. (A touch of hope in the middle of winter. My earlies are out just now.) If you have a semi shady spot you might also consider Anemone blanda which spreads by seeding, not bulb increase, and Anemone nemorosa. Some of the miniature daffodils, such as Hawera and Snipe, can fill a useful place and decently die down as the perennials are coming into leaf or flower. Iris reticulata has a long flowering season for me and although the leaves are long, they're not problematic. Might not fit in your zone - beware Narcissus Earlicheer and the paperwhites: first into leaf and last to go. Not quite a bulb - yet very useful for a sun-baked and poor soil area - Iris unguicularis. Only trouble is - the slugs are also out and looking for feasts in the middle of winter. But the flowers are delightfully scented and a lovely blue-purple. If they're hardy for you - Cyclamen coum planted in drifts under maples or fruit trees - deciduous trees can be delightful in autumn and into early winter.

I am having the same problem with crocuses. I planted them three weeks ago, and we have such zig zag weather here in the winter. Last week we had 30's at night, this week, we're in the 60's. I'm thinking that I might just get to enjoy them over the winter since our winter temps will be similar to early spring in colder climates. The crocuses haven't broken through the top yet, I only know that they're trying because I found one that a critter had dug up. It had sprouts and roots, so I replanted it. Dang Armadillos!!!

The short answer is large and medium should bloom, small will flower after one to two more seasons of growth. the long answer has to do with just how big or small your sorting is, what varieties they are, how they were handled :). But they say a picture is worth a thousand words so here's a picture with two medium bulbs that should bloom and one smaller bulb which will not. If you look closely at the growing tip you can see multiple points for the blooming size. Bloomers have one large leaf plus additional smaller leaves and then the flower, so you can already see the tips of the first two or more leaves. The bigger the bulb the more obvious it is. The smaller bulb in the center only has the point of the bulb plus the tip of the leaf. Non bloomers will only grow a single leaf .
