Yes I do Pam. I've been on daves over 7 years & 2 on plantswap. Before houzz took over gardenweb I was on it about 5 years plus the 2 years since it morphed to houzz. Another one is garden.org that I've been on about 2 years as tabbycat. Between all 3 I've probably traded 200 times in those years with wonderful people who, like us, love growing things & sharing. The postage has gone up in the 7 years so that's the only negative to me. Boy, but I have gotten some beauties by starting with small starter plants, cutting & seeds which are economical in the big picture. I don't have a phone that makes it instant to send pictures so I still do it the old way of taking a picture with a camers, downloading it to computer then uploading when I want to share it. I'm way behind on that at this time so that's another 2017 'to do'. It's tedious so I don't do it much. I do love to look at others though when I have time just to see the beauty. There are certain procedures for taking cuttings that I follow. First I prepare the soil. I use a soilless mix and small containers. I wet the soil before I fill the containers so I know it's wet right through. I use small containers because it's easier to control the moisture after they're planted. I large container will dry on top and still be wet underneath. I take my cuttings. Make sure everything you use is clean. I cut a 4 or 5 inch piece from the growing end of the plant. I cut right behind a leaf node--where a leaf grew. All roots come from a leaf node. I trim all the leaves up to the 3 to 5 on top of the cutting. I dibble a hole in the center of my prepared soil, dip the cutting 1/4 to 1/2 inch in rooting hormone and place in the dibbled hole. You just want a light coating of rooting hormone. Too much can be detrimental to root growth. Cover it in and place in a warm place. I have the best success by placing my cuttings on a heat mat. Water only enough to keep the cuttings moist. You'll know it's taken once it sprouts new leaves. Wait until it's well rooted before transplanting it
