You might have better luck with this in the spring. It's too late in the season to take or start cuttings in cold climates.

Many of the roses you list are still under patent and it's illegal to propagate them. And it's way too late in the season for me to take cuttings. May and June are the best months for me to take cuttings.

Hey Digger! I planted Gemini last Nov, yes I remember you warning me it would before it got really hot here but it was too late:) I was already in love with this rose. You are right, it does get really ugly. Deb is a rare good person to love those brown blooms! I think that was the first pic I took of it since the end of July:) I try to cut a few in the first day as buds and bring them in to enjoy. I actually got a single petaled rose from it in Aug after 3 weeks of 110's and then I got another the other day. I'm glad Angel Face is the rose I can see well from the kitchen sink and not Gemini:) Have you ever had one like this? That's a beautiful rose, I'll keep that in mind, I really like that. A friend of ours was disapointed in her roses, I told her you told me that I couldn't have your roses or your garden by this year or next:) I also didn't tell her I'll never have them either, LOL* It was just so hot here this summer that newly planted roses really struggled, now that it's let up in the last month new roses are growing again. Mine is still small, I think it and Always A Lady is too are planted at the front of the garden and it gets too wet there and I need to move them maybe. Based on the size of the other 4 I have these should be larger. I did get and have already planted Ms. Mary and Hanky Panky last week.

I got a mini at Trader Joe’s. After it sat on my window sill all December and into January, a red stripped rose for holiday decorations, I popped it out in the yard, without separating any of the little starts. No amendments or anything either. It is one of the best looking roses. I put it on a dripper and gave it liquid fertilizer when the rest of the roses got it. You are in Texas so fall is a great time to plant roses. A few people here have mentioned separating the multiple starts they always put in the pot, in order to get more plants, but in that case the root disturbance would mean you need to coddle them more after first planting meaning don’t let them dry out.
