Last trades of the season? Updated page.

Fall is in the air but perhaps there is time to make one or two final trades before it gets too cold. I've just updated my list of plants I have to trade. My wish list is not up to date but will give you some ideas. I will warn you, I've been gardening here 25 years and have a lot already. Also, I mostly garden in sun and my few shade areas are reserved for "special" plants.

I would LOVE to trade for your Pulmonaria 'Samurai.' I have Pulmonaria 'Raspberry Splash' and a lot of others on my trade list. If you would like to have a larger trade I am looking for late blooming daylilies and heucheras.

I still have these till Wednesday. In case there is any confusion, they are spider plants of the common houseplant variety, in two colours. to trade for housplant cutting that I do not have, prefer low tight tropicals, no violets. I have lots of these already: heart leaf philodendron, peace lily, burgundy ficus, spiderplants, golden pothos, jade, christmas cactus, small palms, (forgot which variety) deiffenbachia. variagated dracena marginata. tempt me with a viable cutting or two of anything else.

That sounds interesting so maybe that I would especially like any of the lettuce varieties except cinnamon because I have a cinnamon lettuce already. herbs: Rosemary Any basil Catnip Fennel and Cilantro Just let me know if there's anything on my trade page that would make this trade worth while to you :)

Midwesterner, I too grow a lot of natives from seed and overall it's much easier and simpler to buy the species I want. If it's a cultivar, I want them to seed true. It's not very expensive to buy a packet of seeds and get lots of plants, vs. buying a few small plants for triple or more the price of a packet of seeds. Last winter I had purchased so many seeds, that I did a SASBE offer on the seed exchange. Got a great response and sent out at least 20 SASBEs! I have also traded for seeds and germatinated some nice plants, although trade seeds can be iffy, in terms of origin, chaff and viability. For example one trader listed a white Monarda on their trade list and sent a whole Monarda seedhead, which I tore apart and ended up with about 7 seeds (that didn't sprout).

Wow again. I could kick myself now for turning down Jeannie Deaver's Dream. For some reason I didn't think the color would be that deep and rich....And just when I think I don't like something you post one of your daylilies that proves me wrong. In this case it's white (or what passes for white) and a pattern or eyed daylily. Ruby Lipstick is beautiful, and the pattern on Fabrege Easter is a real stunner. Does the pattern color hold all day or fade out?.....Maryl

I posted above but just looked at your want list and have Agastache 'Apache Sunset' and would love to trade for your BRUNNERA 'Dawson's White.' Just to let you know, all of my Heucheras will be divisions of my plants and not seedlings.

I have 2 potted clematis that I ordered from Bluestone Perennials in the spring.
Princess Diana and Rebecca.
We have a new 82 lb. puppy that has destroyed 3 other clematis that I bought this year, so I would be willing to trade these if your interested.
I also have a rooted Veteran's Honor Rose.
I'm interested in trading for daylilies, especially any of these.
