Last time before season is upon me

Next month sees me really having to knuckle down in the greenhouse and vegetable garden for new season at market so being ever so the O/C seed gatherer...I've cleaned up my list having done loads of winter sewing and scattering of wild flowers seeds and ready to make a few last swaps.

I have a little lean-to greenhouse,a large free standing greenhouse,two vegetable gardens and an acre and a half yards so I'm pretty much good on common items.

I'm currently cleaning out a very large bed under some very tall pine trees so pretty american natives and european natives for dry high shade will be incorporated.I now have a way to water that area but I'd still like plant material that will stand some neglect once they are established.

I didn't post a wish list as I am open to offers of unusual seeds. Please....no seeds from hybrid. Most are patented and generally will not come true from seed anyway.

Please be sure you will have time to complete trades once negotiations begin but don't be afraid to cancel if you get over whelmed or life throws you a curve ball. I'd rather be canceled than be left twisting in the wind.

I would especially like any of the lettuce varieties except cinnamon because I have a cinnamon lettuce already.

Oh you have a wonderful list, but I doubt I would have much that you would want. Are you interested in any named cosmos, or unusual zinnas (peppermint stick, red spider) or tomatoes, etc? Dragon tongue bean?

the lawn at my office building just rocks all winter long and just wonder how they do it. We I am a sod farmer just north of DFW area and also own a landscaping biz that does a lot of commercial properties in DFW. We have a secret to over seeding Bermuda, actually two secrets. 1. We use a blend of Rye and Fescue. 2. We use a herbicide early in the Spring to kill the Rye and Fescue off so the Bermuda will not be deprived of water and nutrients thus delaying green up and speedy recovery from its winter slumber. Otherwise it would be July before the Bermuda recovers, and two months later you would have to over seed again futher weakening the Bermuda. It is a viscious cycle you really do not want to start.

Hi Jane, New Paltz! This IS nice! You wouldn't have some spare bat guano about, would you? I'm pretty sure they live in my old, disused chimney, they used to come in sometimes, before the old vent-hole was sealed, and spook us with their silent flight. I used to worry about rabies when my daughter was a baby. Maybe I could collect some guano off the front porch roof, come to think of it.. Thanks for the tip! Oldroser, I'll try the High falls place, unless the ones at Lowes are ok. We'll put it/them under the eaves of my factory building, facing west. Fairly easy to get to and high up enough. And then for some guano.. If this doesn't make a difference I'm considering a "Magnet". I deeply need to sit in the new pergola evenings and plot the next shrubbery.

I"M TEMPORARILY SUSPENDING THIS SWAP REQUEST. My husband goes into hospital tomorrow for surgery on his foot. I should have waited until after he was home and on the mend.

I will get back to everyone middle or end of the week to complete trades started.
