Can I plant a Vegetable garden over 2 ground pine tree stumps

We just cut down 2 pine trees and would like to plant a raised vegetable garden over the area. The stumps and roots were thoroughly ground down and mixed with the soil. We plan on putting 6 inches of topsoil mix on top that area. In looking at another post it sounded like the garden will need more Nitrogen, which is easily remedied. But, someone told me that the fresh sawdust from the tree would be "toxic" to the plants. Additionally, would the fungus created by the decaying wood infect the plants? Thanks for your input!
