Yes, yes, yes!! We have two dogs, one is a Newfoundland and quite a big boy. I have as many fragrant narcissus as you can safely handle *smile*. There are 5 varieties mixed together, all highly fragrant, originally from White Flower Farm. You could look at their website to get an idea. I also have lots of Cupani's Original sweet peas. This is oldest variety of sweet pea. Blooms are magenta and purple, early spring, climbs with tendrils. Also have Four O'Clocks - magenta, easy to grow. Please see my trade page for others. Buy from your vet and use half a dose on each cat after the first month....I think you pretty much have to eat it for one month. Frontline is going to be about 10 a bottle. $10 a month for each cat. Then split the bottles - I used half dose on my dog for years. Also be sure to wash down all areas the cats might walk on after fogging so the residue is not on their feet where they lick....good luck

Sentinel does prevent fleas from reproducing, but only if the flea bites the dog. Hopefully, the frontline will kill the flea before it has a chance to bite the dog. I consider sentinel expensive overkill if a dog is on frontline plus. I have always had at least 1 dog with severe flea allergies, so my goal has always been to prevent fleas from biting in the first place. I've seen sentinel work very well in households without dogs with flea allergies, without any additional flea treatments. Comfortis is a natural product derived from a bacterium, but it is systemically absorbed and stays in the dog's system all month. The most common side effect is vomiting, which most dogs get over after the first dose, but if my dog vomited a $6 pill I'd be mad. And I'm not sure I want something that kills animals to be harbored in my dogs' bodies continuously. It's a thing I have.

I can assure you your fleas are not resistant to Frontline (unless they are from a different planet)... so far no confirmed population of fleas resistant to Fipronil... but overwhelming flea infestations are often mistaken for a product not working well. Frontline, as I stated above, is a bit slower kill, so fleas take few days to die... they do NOT, however, have to bite a dog or cat to die... just being on them with the product will kill them all... problem is it does take a few days, while Advantage takes less than 24 hours (not much less, though, so sometimes that product, too, can be presumed to be ineffective in the face of a huge outbreak). All the fleas on all these pets will die. but unfortunately they will all be replaced by new fleas (that's how flea infestations go)... so you need to work on the environments if your pets are being overwhelmed... or switch to a much faster product (like Comfortis, which kills fleas in less than an hour). One of the reasons your vet might not like Advantix is it has pyrethrins in it, a product that has historically been shown to have flea resistance, and sometimes causes neurologic problems in small dogs, and is highly toxic to cats. I am nervous to use it myself sometimes, but it is a pretty good product if used carefully. These are also the active products in Zodiac spray (though I hope they use a 'kitty-safe' form of pyrethrum). Preventic collars, containing Amitraz, are the single most effective product for ticks that I have used... but I was comparing Advantix to Frontline. Do not ever use a preventic collar on a cat, though.
