Best veggies in heat

I have two garden plots avalible. One is the main garden positioned in my back yard to good light, but I have another smaller plot on the south side of the house (~8'x4'?).

Last year we had most of our pepper plants on the south side of the house, but my husband feels it was too warm next to our brick house for them to do the best. He has expanded our back yard garden and I can move the peppers over there this year.

But I'd like to put something in that small plot next to the house. Cucumbers would be great, but I know they'd never survive the heat. Any sugestions of things to try over there?

Is there any lists avalible online about what temps different veggies like/can survive? I know about some (like my peas don't do well in the mid summer heat), but there are others that I'd like/plan to try but I don't know about (zuccini and brocli to start with).

Thanks!

Rebecca
