Any creative advice to help me make my historic pre space flow better
Comments (26)I would have loved to live here in my single days. Such an eclectic space! I think the first thing you need to figure out is your storage needs. What do you need starts with what do you have. Figure that out first so that you can get the clutter out. Think cube storage shelves, storage ottoman, baskets... a lot of this can probably be sourced for free or cheap on Craigslist or Nextdoor (or any of the other resale apps). Find a small table for 4 somewhere and start collecting chairs. Do you have a homegoods? They have quality curtains for $15 and rods for about the same. I’d also start hitting up thrift stores in good neighborhoods. You’ll be surprised at what you might find....See MoreHelp! Need some creative ideas for wrap around porch roofline!
Comments (10)Yes, the porch walk in door there is 80” tall and the overhead garage doors are 96” tall. I have read too about the egress windows and that is definitely what I want to stay with, just trying to figure out how to get the roof lines tied together and still save the window height....See MoreHelp on Creative Bathroom Remodel Ideas!
Comments (6)Most likely the joists run parallel to the vanity wall it should allow the plumbing for the toilet to be moved so if that's the case it's doable, you have the room for a 33" vanity with a 15" sink base or to give extra room you can go with a 36" with a 12" base or 42" to give extra room for the toilet if needed....See MorePlease Help with Creative Ideas for Small Empty Loft Space
Comments (14)@George S what do you need in your home? Storage space? Yoga space? Playroom? Kid camp-in place? What don't you have enough of in the rest of the house? Also, what are the environmental conditions there? Is the space heated, cooled, ventilated? Looks like there's a little heater in there? Can an adult stand up in the middle? Can a rowing machine for lengthwise? What are the key dimensions? Personally, I'd love to have storage space, because I have none…no basement, no article, and dinky closets. But you may already have more than you need. I have grown kids, and even my grandkids wouldn't be interested anymore. I would love exercise space but only if it's air-conditioned and ventilated. For storage, you could put big things along the low walls or you could install shelving there and still have a little stool to sit on in the middle while you sort or search. I'm guessing this is a house new to you, and the previous occupants had kids? Or is this your kids' artwork?...See Morebarefootinct
