Hi Nova: What a pretty plant! Congratulations on germinating your seed. I have never grown this and it looks like it wouldn't grow here in WPB, but I think you're right to plan to protect it when the weather gets too cold. The information I read was that the longer it stayed in low light the longer the plant retained its leaves (full sun plants lost their leaves sooner). Seedlings would need to concentrate growth in root production, so if it's going to drop leaves anyway let it keep them as long as possible to develop a stronger root system. Go with your instincts. It sounds like you're on the right track. And post pictures when your "baby" gets bigger. Julie in WPB
