I'm looking for iochroma plant (must be well rooted) and firecracker plant. I have named daylilys -- minis, doubles and regular.

It's also known as an Empress Tree. There are a few types - Tomentosa which grows larger than the Fortunei, which is what I have. One of my Fortunei hit 30 feet in 3 years. I'm right on the edge of it's zones. I was using it for some desperately needed shade FAST. Well last year - when we had a stretch of 60s in Feb - the sap started running - and then in march, it pitched down into the teens. Lost the main trunk. But it suckered all around it so I picked the strongest looking shoot and cut the rest down. I was going to have flowers this year on it except it didn't make it. So - give it another shot. It's invasive in warmer areas - and I find it popping up randomly here and there but not a problem here in Illinois. I guess it's a nuisance in other areas.

Yes I've grown it, and it certainly didn't flower in the first year, second or even third according to my memory. When it did flower I wasn't that impressed, the flowers were hidden by the foliage - it came out, it wasn't good enough to warrant the space it took up.
