Ranunculus repens' leaves and flowers are edible. However, the leaves must be boiled first and, flowers can be pickled after boiling. The flower of Ranunculus repens has been used in a child's game for centuries. If you hold the opened yellow flower under someone's chin, the yellow reflection onto the skin was supposed to indicate that person's love of butter! Scientists are currently studying this crazy phenomenon. No other flower that I know of will reproduce this effect. It's one reason there is never a shortage of pollinators to Ranunculus repens. It's light-reflecting capability draws bees in like they're being reeled-in on a string!

Yours would not be a business that would need a plan, a corporation, etc. Start with the first items--buy; sell, fix up and learn to sell on Ebay. The key is--are you good at spotting a value that you can fix up and resell at a profit? A friend of mine took me to the Rose Bowl swap meet. He walked through a bunch of places and found several tole trays. He knew which were valuable; how to clean them and resold them at a profit. He wasn't trying to deal in lots of different items. He didn't have fancy business cards or a plan--he just knew his own niche. DH knows waterford and spotted a large dirty set of an old waterford pattern juice glasses; we got it. Make a fortune on it? I don't know. People who make lots of money on the trash to treasures & sell on Ebay are writing books about it; selling tapes on how to do it and doing seminars. That way they have no inventory; and they may not know a great deal more than you do. Good luck, get started.

Oddly enough, I can't find these anywhere online. The only thing I can find is how to get rid of the stuff..! Does anyone have a small clump or two going spare? Will either swap or pay a few quid, ta.

Bethan Your jade is not getting enough light. It is not 'growing impressively', it is etiolated. That is the reason it can't support itself. That could add to the reason why it isn't branching - all the energy is going into trying to reach more light. It is also potted very deep/low inside of the pot. I can't tell what kind of soil it is in, but as any succulent, it needs good drainage. That means fast draining potting mix and the container with drainage holes. I see you have pot with the plant inside of cache pot, again - it is very deep. The light (which is quite low) is obstructed even more. The plants pot seems to fit very tight - not suitable for succulent as it also creates some humidity -sweating- on the pot. If using cache pot, it should be always emptied of water that drained out. It will branch if pinched and/or pruned. But you should concentrate on getting it stronger by giving it much more light. The leaves should grow much closer together, and trunks need to be strong enough to support themselves. If you move into much better light, the new growth should be more compact. The old etioltion will not reverse itself.
