Beauregard Sweet Potato In Lasagna Hump

Thinking of trying to grow a crop of SP in a year old lasagna hump. The bed was originally 24 inch deep and consisted of layers of unfinished compost, grass clippings, mulch hay, and shredded leaves. Presently the depth is about 10 to 12 inches. I have grown okra, snap peas, and cabbage in lasagna humps with great results but Im concerned that voles might become a serious problem with SP. SP do really well in my native Georgia red clay soil with minimal vole damage. Do yall think I will be asking for trouble by planting in this organic medium?
