Short term bulb storage question

I want to know if I'm doing this right...

This weekend I had the fortune of being allowed to dig up several beds of irises, some lillies, naked ladies, spider lillies, grape hyacinths and some other things. The house they were at was going to be sold and/or demolished and the current owners had already taken everything they wanted. I filled up the back of my Jeep. I might go back next weekend for more.

Now I have them sitting in my garage and I won't be able to plant them until this weekend, 5 days away. The bulbs/rhizomes are mostly free of dirt and still have foliage. Should I water them? If so, how much? Should I just leave them alone and let them sit there dry? Should I trim the foliage on anything?

I have so many - I don't want to lose them!
