Its been growing since spring, and has no sign of flowering if that helps. What throws me is, it's growing in a new bed in the exact places I planted some flowers, but I can't remember what I planted there! I know it wasn't this. Also, its showing no sign of spreading. I'm going to leave it, because it fills the spot nicely and has such interesting color and texture, but I'm just wondering if it'll come back next year. Please keep the suggestions coming!

I have quite a few Canadian roses because of their reliability in cold zones, but I did not know Martin Frobisher was one of them. If that's who it is, he's in good company here with many of his cousins. I am going to be watching for a rebloom and types of hips. It's done pretty well without care. It got a handful of compost last fall and the bed it's in is mulched. It will be interesting to see if a little TLC will make a difference.

Tiffany, all parts of pokeweed are poisonous, in spite of the fact that the early Spring leaves may be eaten as a cooked salad green. The older the plant, the more poisonous. NEVER eat any stem parts, and the seeds can be deadly, especially to children (they look so edible). The leaves are safest when boiled, rinsed, and boiled again to remove the alkaloid poison that is found even in immature leaves. For a quick run down, this Wiki article describes its toxicity. Silver, be sure to acclimate to stronger light gradually over a period of weeks increasing the length of time kept in direct sunlight. An hour or so a day for the first few days increasing the length of time until it's in full sun all the time...or at least for the number of hours you can provide. Otherwise it will burn. I don't know where you are located but noon to sunset where I live is much stronger that the weak sun is from sunrise to noon. Also, once it gets better light, keep in mind that the current leaves will never revert back to their former appearance, but new growth should improve. Good luck.
