possibly damaged my million bells trying to kill aphids

I planted some million bells about a month ago. They were looking great, then out of the blue one day they started to look a little sickly and I noticed they were covered in aphids (and something else, maybe white flies?). Yesterday evening I sprayed the plant pretty heavily with Safer Insect Killing Soap. The directions say to spray to the point of runoff, so I don't think I overdid it. It's been about 24 hours since I sprayed and I just went to look at the plant. The flowers look awful. Will this plant start to thrive again? Is there anything special I should do to help nurse it back? The pictures below show the insect-covered plant before I sprayed it, and today's result of spraying it.
