when do crocus bloom in Zone 5 Chicago?

I planted species crocus last fall for the first time in years. Previously they had always been dug and eaten in such short order I never got to see a flower. These I'm pretty sure were not eaten because I covered the planting sites with wide flat bricks right after planting. In the days after planting I saw "attempts" at digging around the edges but they didn't tunnel far enough.

For my area, when would I expect to see these coming up? I took the bricks off last week after the snow melted. They are interplanted with anemone blanda which is also new to me. I was hoping to have some early bloom before the daffodils and species tulips start. I already have about 1-2 inches of foliage showing for these, in a different bed.
