Bonsai subjects for wet soil/subjects for dry soils

After reading a couple of current posts I think it might be

helpful if a listing can be constructed on those plants that will do best with the wetter soils and those that do best with the drier soils. Also is needed to indicate whether the subject is inside or outside. Personally, I do not recommend keeping bonsai inside at all apart from a few hours for show purposes but if you were to check out some Japanese related sites they have what they call gardens where different bonsai growers keep their plants (chained downed to a platform) and it looks great-an idea for showing them at home!

So to get my opinion of what is best in wetter soil:

Willows, redwood

in drier soils:

junipers, pines, oaks

At this hour all I can muster up are general names perhaps

specific species might be more relevant.
