All of my trees have been babies when I bought them. Hopefully as my calamondin and meyer turn 2 this year I get at least one fruit off of one of them! My husband loves my trees and wants more but I feel shy to it because we haven't had one fruit yet! A couple days ago I was joking around with him, and I took my ipad with a picture of a little tree with like, 5 lemons on it and was saying to the tree, Do you see this?! WHEN are you going to do this! This tree is SMALLER than you! It got big laughs from my family LOL!

Thank you everyone for your concern and encouragement. It makes me so happy to be part of a forum where people care about their trees as much or more than I do. Sadly it was one of my Brugmansia that did it to me, I was watering my plants late at night after getting home from playing in my Sand Volleyball league and I felt fine but I must have pulled something because I went to pick up one of my brugs that had tipped over and couldn't get back up. I had to crawl inch by inch back into my house from the front yard in the dark at 10pm with my front door wide open and my puppy all in my face trying to play (I let her come out front with me when I water to help her train on being good off leash) It took over 30 minutes to get myself inside and call for help and another hour after that to get to the couch, I went to urgent care the next morning and the Doc said I had a severe muscle spasm pressing on my spine and nerves which is why I couldn't walk. I put the dogs in daycare for the week and I am just now getting back to being able to move. Its crazy how such a simple thing can mess you up so badly, it of course had to happen while my boyfriend is on a family trip and I'm home alone for a few weeks. I have had my aunt move the trees to the least sunny part of the yard and soak them down. Now I play the waiting game to see what pulls through, I am hopeful it will be all of them but sad I sacrificed all of this years fruit. Hopefully a late summer bloom will happen and I will manage to get one or two.

Sammers I too am very sorry!! But not all hope is lost! Is it too early to leave them outside now Sammers? When I was once in the dark about getting rid of scale, I am talking a HUGE mass of them all over my Ponderosa Lemon and Olive Tree, I used what Tom suggested and what Gardengal suggested all at once..Let me tell you when I say I got completely rid of them in just a month spraying once a week. I brought mine outside and spray and watered them in. I have never seen them since. Try both! When you get them outside, spray every tree down with the 'All Seasons Dormant oil and then water them all in with the Bayer. That did the trick for mine for sure! Unfortunately, the pinks are descended from non-FL ecotypes and are not adapted to here. There's one bred for heat tolerance (Gulf Coast Pink) that might work but I'd still be reluctant to try it in peninsular Florida... If you're set on pink, Eastern Redbud is your best bet and it is also an understory tree with similar preferences. If you're not set on a color and are looking for a general ornamental flowering tree look into American fringeflower/"Grancy Graybeard" if you haven't already, very unique, showy but harmonious. Areas with more sun: UF-bred nectarines and peaches (I work with some so I know they grow here) the Chitalpa, and pink cultivars of Vitex (multi-trunked large open shrub)
