Sconces or single multi light fixture?
Comments (16)You have all convinced me; I've ordered two beautiful sconces from Quoizel; can't wait for them to arrive. Bruteses, I TOTALLY agree with sticking with a bargain. I have been trying to decide what to do for a mirror over the sink, and found one today in a consignment shop for only $36. Not exactly what I thought I would get, but at that price, I'm going to give it a try. I have an antique dresser that I plan to convert into a vanity in another bathroom. Like yours, Brutuses, mine has drawers instead of doors, so good to see that it will work. Child #3 moves into his own place this weekend; demo on the bathroom begins soon after!!!...See MoreHayward Color Logic Light...No White Light?
Comments (2)After it has been of for at least 60 seconds it should come on white, and then go to the last color it was on. It is not a bright white like a regular pool light. If you are looking directly at it you will see colors, it wont be just white. Here is the sequance. 1. Show - Voodoo Lounge - Fast Color Wash 2. Fixed - Deep Blue Sea 3. Fixed - Afternoon Skies 4. Fixed - Emerald 5. Fixed - Sangria 6. Fixed - Cloud White 7. Show - Twilight - Slow Color Wash 8. Show - Tranquility - Blue/Cyan/White Fade 9. Show - Gemstone - Blue/Green/Magenta Fade Show - USA! - Red/White/Blue Switch Show - Mardi Gras - Fast Random Fade Show...See MoreLight Switch Covers & Outlets: White or Light Almond?
Comments (17)I know this is old, but I couldn’t help myself. Perhaps this will help future readers of this thread. I think all the commenters claiming the almond looked “dingy” were in fact looking at the ivory in your photo. I am personally a BIG proponent of light almond. It is subtle but the difference is worth it for me. White is so plain, so standard, to me, that everyone generally goes for it without thinking it through. As an electrician, I applaud you for taking the time to recognize this. Although not always (or even typically) done, wiring devices and wallplates are technically designed to blend in with their surroundings. Now, stop and think...who has white walls these days? My grandparents do, for one. They are in their 90s. That should tell you something. Go with light almond, or better yet, one of Lutron’s 30 or so colors, which blend in with your wall best, how you like it. Only, those are 2-5x more expensive than standard colors. Guess what? Light almond is a standard color these days! So it costs the same as white, ivory, gray, black, and brown. But don’t just “go with white” because it’s what everyone does. Be yourself....See MoreChoosing white walls considering light, floor and furniture colors
Comments (14)Emily I completely agree:) hers is one of two or three blogs where I read all archives..couple of much older posts deal with "real life" boxy rooms that have no redeeming architectural details to them She's a funny writer, and is down to Earth otherwise, of course it's much easier to do..well just about everything in a room with good bones (as different as they may come) Sometimes all you really need is not to spoil:)...See MoreTadeu Machado
