Orchid flowering

Our local native Dendrobiums flower late in the dry season. So I was a bit surprised to see this Dendrobium bigibbum flowering now, late in the wet season. I bought it when last in Cooktown in Queensland, it is the "Cooktown Orchid" after all. They had small ones for sale at the Botanic Gardens/Museum/Tourist Information Centre (Cooktown's not big enough to have separate set ups for each of those). They were in small pots with only gravel. I put mine on a tree stump with a bit of filtered morning sun and the rest of the day in shade. This is its first flowering. Hopefully next year it'll be a bit more prolific.
