I can post tomorrow what plants he is suggesting for the other flower bed areas around the patio. I think it will be along the same stuff. emmarene - Reading your post did make me think twice about it. I think there is too much concrete, and trying to conform to the original architect's modules of 8x8' makes it hard to find a place to add greenery. The landscape archtect also suggested filling in the space with concrete if I dont like the look, but there's always a risk it wont match. Do you think it will be pretty bad? I'm so nervous to make a mistake! I love the house in the link below. I think it has some asymmetry to the hardscape and landscape. Include low shrubs, groundcover, and colorful perennials for year-round interest. Reserve a small area dedicated for flowering annuals for a pop of color (see below). Consider integrating an additional focal point near the entrance. For example, you could draw attention and enhance the arrival experience with a small bubbling fountain or lovely piece of sculpture. Add a bench or chair for a welcoming touch and a spot from which to enjoy your yard. Photo Gallery Layered plantings...See MoreNeed lake house exterior ideas! paint color? deck updates? landscapes?

Comments (1)First thing I noticed is how the columns around the door make it look skinny. Can that all be removed? Is the white fence hiding something? A walk from the front door to the street with a possible section to the driveway. New landscaping. New paint color, maybe a medium gray. Garage doors with a row of windows, also...See Morefloraluk2
