Spring swap 2024

Is it always me that starts the spring swap thread? I seem to have spring fever again! Any interest or volunteers to host?

We are a little feverish over here also. :-) Very interested in coming. We see the purple globe flowers we got at the last one are coming up along with many of our other swap plants. Always get the most hardy prolific plants there!

Hi Cat! Good to see you around here!

I don't have time to do anything about this right now, but a month or more ago arborwolf/Camille, in a private email to TreeBarb, was asking about a spring swap, and offered to host it at her house again this spring--where it was last spring!

If you have time maybe you could go to her "fall swap" post below and then go to her page and PM her if she still wants to host it--and that she could come post on your thread here to get it started if she still does!?!

I have my Spring Trip coming up in May, but if I'm on the right side of the mountains whenever it winds up being, I'll be there!

Dasha, 'Anouk' does well in its first year I find, but by the 3rd season I think it starts to deteriorate and in a pot can suffer winter wet. Here's mine just now, those lower shoots are developing flowering buds, but most is on top. This lavender is cheap to buy, so I don't mind if they don't last long.. I think this plant will look much better in another 3 weeks or so. I am now taken by this Lavender 'Victory', which has larger flowers and a more open habit. Remains to be seen how it survives winters.

Thank you, Hoang Ton, for the quite fabulous spring rose tour of your beautiful garden. I surprised myself by being most impressed by the stunning Lady in Red climber, which I know nothing about. What a gorgeous way to welcome visitors to your house. Also impressive were the Iceberg hedge, Raold Dahl, Jubilee Celebration, the great color of Lady of Shalott, and the many rose companions you grow so well. 2024 Spring Swap What do you Think?

Good morning, Team,

Lucy and I (Camille - Arbor Wolf) would be honored to host the spring swap for 2024 in Berthoud at Lucy's farm. The fall swap was cancelled. We asked about hosting the swap in January but were encouraged to post it mid-March.

We are available to host the following dates: Saturday May 11 (Mother's Day weekend) or Saturday June 1, 2024.

We love these swaps and learn so much from all the wonderful gardeners who attend.

If you are interested in one of these dates and the location, let us know.

Ive never attended bit would love to come. I am just up the road in Loveland. If Im not working, I would try to attend. Im sure I could figure out some plants to bring.

Either date is okay but June 1st is a tad late to swap annual plants. I'd prefer May 11th.
