Comments (5)I have a purple (!) microsuede slip-covered sectional;about 10 years old. I was leery at purchase time b/c it was not at all what I'd imagined, but it has been wonderful. It cleans easily with a wet paper towel (until it's time to toss the slips into the washer), dog fur vacuums off easily, and it is soft and cozy but still stays tidy looking. The brand is Rowe (which does not have terrific online reviews ) but we've been very happy with it. The slips fit tightly and the purple color doesn't look crazy with my other furniture. The one problem is that the pieces do not fasten together well....See MoreQuality sectional/sofa - brands to try?
Comments (12)After much debate between Century, Taylor King and Vanguard, we ended up with the Vanguard Envision. The deciding factors were mainly size and arm style, although comfort and fabric options also played a role. All three were nice to sit on but we preferred the sloped track arm that only Vanguard offered. The Century would have been our next choice but it was much larger, about 10" in each direction, and we felt it might overwhelm our space. We ordered it from Lexington Furniture, who beat local prices by over $1000. Total cost in a Grade 26 fabric (no decorative upgrades) was $5500. It arrived yesterday and we LOVE IT. Just need to repaint the room and get a new rug! :)...See MoreHow to layout weird living room for TV watching with new sectional?
Comments (2)IMO a sectional in your space is the wrong choice. I actually love the sofa and the 2 chairs you have in that space. Setionals are IMO the most expensive way to get the most uncomfortable seats. Arm rests = comfort and a sectional at best has 2 no matter how many seats . So everyone else is sitting just like they do on the middle seat on a sofa the seat no one wants....See MoreHelp Selecting Best Sectional Sofa for New Home
Comments (7)I'm not in a position to comment on the furniture supplier but would like to make a suggestion regarding your choice of colour for the sectional. On your sketch, you show a white sectional but in your samples some of the colours are quite daring for a large piece of furniture. I would opt for a more subdued colour that you won't get tired of. If you like colour, go for the colour in accent pillows, it your get tired of them, it's not a big expense to change your colour scheme. Here is the sectional in what looks like a greyish green with your favorite rug and flooring....See Morekandrewspa
