Comments (11)Put an upholstered banquette or bench/settee with the back against the peninsula. Get a single run setteee if you don't want to block the tall window (or a corner banquette) if you don't mind the overlap. With a narrower table (32 to 36" minus overhang) you should have enough clearance to fit chairs on the other side, with seating for six. There are upholstered ones (like from Ballard) that are not too uncomfortable and will protect the walls, windows and cabinets....See MoreNeed help for little breakfast nook

Comments (3)Congratulations on your new home! It's great to hear that you're excited about decorating. Let's discuss your options for the dining set and sofa to help you make decisions: 1. Dining Set: - Rectangular: A rectangular dining table is a classic choice that works well in many spaces. It provides a formal and structured look, and it's ideal if you often entertain guests or have a larger family. Consider the available space between the kitchen and living room to ensure there's enough room to comfortably walk around the table. - Circular: A circular dining table can create a more intimate and cozy atmosphere. It works well in smaller spaces or if you prefer a more casual and intimate dining experience. A circular table can also be visually appealing and add a touch of elegance to the area. Keep in mind that it may have a smaller seating capacity compared to a rectangular table. Consider your lifestyle, the number of people typically dining together, and the overall aesthetic you want to achieve when deciding between a rectangular or circular dining set. Additionally, measure the space available to ensure the chosen table fits appropriately. 2. Sofa for the Living Room: Choosing the right sofa for your living room is crucial as it sets the tone for the space and determines comfort. Here are a couple of options to consider: - Sectional Sofa: If you have a spacious living room, a sectional sofa can be a great choice. It offers ample seating and creates a cozy and inviting atmosphere. Consider the configuration of the sectional based on the layout of the room and the placement of the fireplace. - Classic Sofa: A classic sofa is a versatile option that can work well in various living room styles. Opt for a design that complements the overall aesthetic of your home. Consider factors such as the size of the room, the desired seating capacity, and the level of comfort you prefer. Remember to consider the scale of the furniture in relation to the size of the room and ensure there's enough space for comfortable movement. Don't forget to incorporate your personal style and preferences into the choices you make for both the dining set and sofa. Enjoy the process of decorating your new home and make it a reflection of your unique taste and personality!...See MoreJT7abcz
