About me: I've been growing orchids for about eight years, and I've been fairly successful with a group of roughly 50 orchids, and another twenty or so plants. I love fragrant flowers, really curly petals, and LOUD colors. Schombergkia thomsoniana is among my favorites. In fact, I'm a big fan of Myrmecophila in general, and I also love anything with cool splotchiness. I'm also into carnivorous plants and terrariums.

Commented: help ID auction purchase It looks a lot like my Brassolaelia Yellow Bird (Richard Mueller x B. nodosa). Without a bloom, it's pretty tough to identify most plants. I agree with bobyoe.

Commented: killer phal? -- will this infect everything else? I have spider mites affecting some of my Alocasias downstairs, but they haven't spread to my orchids, or the banana-family plants I have down there. They also haven't touched my Monstera plant, either...
