Commented: Dawn redwood zone 9 Now that I see a clear picture I am more certain it is a bald cypress. Bald cypress have alternative needles.. Dawn redwood have opposite needles.. Overall though, it looks pretty healthy.. Cheers!

Commented: Browning needles on Metasequoia and Taxodium I've seen that a bunch. It doesn't seem to affect the health as far as i can tell.. It's happened on a few of mine in the past years.. Not sure of the cause.
