Commented: Paint Colors I'd suggest light or dark gray depending on how big the room is.

Commented: Backsplash help I vote blue tiles. Cream/white would blend in too much with your cabinets. Grey tiles would also look nice.

Commented: Can this outdoor "living" space be improved? Could you add stairs leading up to the deck from the basement? If you go with the patio doors and deck route, that is.
