About me: I bought a house in September 2002, and this is the first time I've ever had my own dirt to dig in, so I'm having a great time learning what's already there and picturing what I can do in time. My philosophy is that a plant is only a weed if you don't want it there.

Commented: Mini-Roses in part shade? All I've got is part shade, and my mini roses do pretty well. In fact, I'm suspicious that one of them has self-seeded, although I've never heard of a rose doing that before. TR
