In conjunction with our consultants we practice an integrated design approach to create homes with long-term environmental and financial benefits for our clients Atelier Akari believes in the practice of certifying homes and use the following green rating programs: LEED for Homes and Florida Green Building Coalition (FGBC). By certifying and documenting the reduced material use, waste stream and energy consumption in addition to reduced operational costs clients gain at least 35 % towards the market value of their home. We cater to clients with single family-homes/townhouses/apartments/condos that include: Natural ventilation to create better indoor air quality Natural lighting rather than electrical lighting Natural cooling rather than large Mechanical Units Multi-zone HVAC systems Solar water heaters Low flow fixtures Rainwater collection from roof The construction sector accounts for the production of 40% of raw materials and processing this material attributes to a large amount of air, land, and water pollution. At Atelier Akari we design projects that find a balance between the materials extracted from our natural environment and the materials used for new construction.
