About me: Howdy from Texas! :) I live in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area - just south of Denton. I’ve always loved nature and birds, but it wasn’t until January of 2004 that I started birding as a hobby. I just love it and my hubby enjoys it as well, which is nice! We had our first birds nest (on our front porch) in the spring of 2004 with a nest of Carolina Wrens. There were 5 babies that fledged that spring. In the summer of 2005 we have a Baltimore Oriole pair nesting right above our backyard in the cottonwood trees. They successfully fledged two babies. That was such a delight!
I enjoy birding from my backyard as well as in the field. I’ve got about 115 birds on my life list so far. I also enjoy gardening and anything to do with nature.
I LOVE the forums out here! Everyone is so friendly and helpful with great advice. Kudos to you all!
