About me: Middle Bass Island in Lake Erie. Settled in the 1800's by immigrant German grape growers. The Lake provides a long growing season, late spring and late fall. Now mostly commercial developers and State owned antique winery and overgrown vinyards. I managed 50 acres of vinyards, now retired but make and sell herbal wine vinegar, tomatoes, and learning cut-flowers. (My wife, also over 80) knows flowers, I'm a beginner. I raise our own vegetable plants from seed with two homemade bottom heat 4'x1' boxes so flowers should not be a problem, after I learn how to tell them apart. middlebasso@webtv.net.

My zone is: z5 Lake Erie
