About me: I posted this story on the Lawn Care forum....
I read story in the news about the annual convention of the Linguistic Society of America which is where the top phrase of 2004 is selected. Dennis Preston, a professor of linguistics at Michigan State University submitted the phrase "Lawn Mullet". The term "lawn mullet" as he submitted it describes a lawn that is neatly mowed in the front but unmowed in the back. Never really thought about a yard as a hairstyle. But that's funny.
My zone is: Zone 7 - NC
