About me: Where do I begin?
Although my maternal grandparents had an extensive home garden complete with a chicken coop, a small array of fruit trees - mainly cherry trees - and a very large vegetable garden, I didn't develop any interest in gardening until I was a not so young father when my daughter, Heather, and I planted the beginnings of a few garden areas.
Several years later, I served as President of The Herb Guild in Peoria, IL, for a three year plus period during which I - along members of our very active group - came to bake a wonderful bock beer sourdough bread in a stone hearth oven at the Olde Englishe Faire during June at Jubilee College State Park, developed an interest in old fashioned roses and the making of the moist form of pot-pourri, the making of soap, the culinary uses of herbs, the planning and design of gardens, and many other garden related endeavors.
As my "handle" (Mozart2) implies, I am lover of classical music and find myself fortunate living near the Interlochen Art Academy, where Sue, and I frequently attend concerts. Sue and I also enjoy architecture, traveling, reading, cooking, photography, and visiting various gardens, especially the Missouri Botanical Gardens in St. Louis among other things.
If I keep on expounding, there will be nothing left for anyone to discover! ;>)
