I’m a cabinetmaker’s son and decided to assist a friend who is a real estate developer on a project he and his contractor were having difficulty with. I have never in my life seen such cheesy cabinets as these “Diamond” brand cabinets. From the inconsistencies in factory joinery leading to out of square, almost trapezoidal cabinets, to particle board construction with penny ante plastic stapled together corner “bracing” if you can even call it that. The install time it takes to correct all of this is as absurd as this company’s statement that they can hold the weight of granite countertops. I’m quite aware these are not custom units nor are they priced and sold that way. However these are constructed and marketed through Lowes to solve someone’s problem when they clearly create headaches and major safety issues. Think of one collapsing under a granite top with a toddler standing by.
