About me: My garden consists of 213 square feet, 149 of it divided up into 12"x12" square foot segments using growveg.com's database to manage plants per square foot and all GROWN IN MY FRONT YARD!!! I strive to grow in one of the harshest climates in the united states year around with temperatures in the single digits during the heart of winter and temps above 110F in the summer: The skirts of Death Valley National Park. I believe in compost, compost tea, trace minerals, sea water foliage feeds, and the use of chicken and cow manure to maximize growth. I find open pollination beautiful but appreciate selective breeding. I've won several awards at county fairs for my preserves and jellies and look forward to meeting all that want to grow in the space that is given to them.
