About me: I garden in Europe/ Switzerland, a mild zone 7, latitude is 47.57 (for comparison: London`s 51.3)New York`s 40.7), so we get some frost but have rather a mild climate. Lots of rain in spring and fall, heavy good soil, folks grow wine/grapes in the neighboring countryside.
--------
Used to have a small semi-shady border, mainly with Hosta, fern and Hellebores, so test drove about 20 different Hostas, been there..., then we moved to another flat, good bye to the Hostas, it was fun

and I have 2 allottments with some fruit trees (ok, 2 medium ones and 3 small types...) and some berries,
full sun, loam-ish soil
with perennials (some for cut flowers), do dabble in veggies and am fond of Dahlias and the odd annual flowers.
And am getting into berries, playing around with espalier training and dwarf fruit trees because the plot is so little.

getting the second plot into shape which was a weedy mess when we got it in 2014.

interested in general horticulture, soil science, tools, plants ingeneral...
