About me: I started gardening to increase the variety of birds on my 1/3 of an acre property. I’m happy to report that I’ve been successful. Last year, hummingbirds and catbirds started frequenting my yard. This year, Song Sparrows, Chipping Sparrows, Red-bellied Woodpeckers, and a Cooper’s Hawk all can be seen almost daily. I never saw any of these birds until I started planting shurbs and flowers. I can’t wait to see what next year will bring.
