About me: I've loved "florist type" (Hybrid Tea) roses since I was a child, but only dicovered a couple of years ago that I could grow them myself. That's good, because I love giving away the blooms! (They boost almost anyone's mood.)Now in my fifth year I have over 120 Hybrid Tea and Grandiflora rosebushes blooming nicely in my yard's "roserows" (running along all its property-lines). But I'm very aware I've still got a lot to learn about them, and I'm always pleased to hear and share tips, info, sources, photos, and experiences with other "roselovers." My wife and I have no children except two red miniature Dachshunds ("weenie dogs"). Guess I'll have to post some pics of them among the roseblooms. : )

Commented: 1st Rose of the year? I think it would have to be "New Year" - which is a Grandiflora, and there's also a Climbing New Year. I grow two of them in my yard. Regards, JohnReb
