About me: I began keeping hosta in Arkansas in 1995. In the summer of 2004 I moved 12 hosta from Mtn. Home AR to northern IL, 560 miles on a hot sunny day, in clear plastic bags, in the bed of my pickup truck and my 14' fishing boat. I stomped them into the ground until I could get a bed prepped. All Survived. I now have 3 beds with 42 varieties, my newest under a black walnut tree.

My zone is: 5
