Buyer Beware! Do not do business with Elite Interiors in Myrtle Beach, SC! You may save money, but it will not be worth it!!
As a home owner and former interior designer, I have purchased furniture many times from various companies. I have never taken the time to write a review about anything, good or bad. I decided to take the time to write a review about Elite Interiors to hopefully save others from the miserable, upsetting and very time-consuming experience that my husband and I continue to have after purchasing a large quantity of furniture from Elite.
The manager of Elite Interiors, Jay, is by far the rudest, most condescending and disrespectful individual that I have ever done business with. When I attempted to discuss some ongoing issues with the furniture we had purchased from Elite he informed me that he has “many other customers” and I was “not his priority” (his exact words). He mocked me and called my email that documented the issues with our damaged chairs a waste of his time. When I pointed out that his customer service skills were lacking, he told me that my thoughts on good customer service were “antiquated.” For some reason he also thought he needed to point out that I didn’t come to Elite Interiors because I wanted to pay full price. He said that I came for the discount. Why should this matter? His behavior was truly unbelievable! When I asked to speak to the owner he refused to give me the owner’s name. He told me several times that for my purposes he was the owner and I would not be speaking to anyone else.
Unfortunately, we still have unresolved issues with two Lexington chairs that we paid Elite Interiors over $4000 for. On three separate occasions over the course of the last few years these chairs were damaged when they arrived at our home. The last delivery was in January of 2023. I sent an email and photos that same day. The Elite Interiors manager Jay has refused to answer my emails or help in any way with a resolution. In addition, I haven’t heard from the customer service person Marietta since February 14th when she finally replied to my email saying that she was going to speak with Lexington to work out a resolution.
In addition to the issues with the Lexington chairs, we also received 2 Bernhardt side chairs that were so uncomfortable to sit in that we had to return them. We had purchased 8 chairs that matched these 2 chairs from a local furniture store. The 8 chairs were very comfortable to sit in, but the two chairs that we purchased from Elite were not the same. It took Elite TWO MONTHS to issue us a refund after we returned the chairs. We only received the refund after my husband and I reached out countless times. I have no doubt that if we hadn’t kept following up and forcing the issue we would never have received a refund for the returned merchandise.
Unfortunately, this doesn't cover it all. There were other issues with refunds and quality of the furniture that we received.

We've had exceptional experiences ordering custom furniture thru Elite Interiors & Furniture Gallery for our master bedroom, living room & dining nook with lines including Charleston Forge, Precedent, Henredon, Bernhardt & Hickory White. We would not have looked at some of these brands if not for some great suggestions from Cheryl Baldwin - she really knows all the major furniture lines, had great advice & sent sample fabrics & finishes. We shopped around & checked pricing elsewhere, but the savings thru Elite could not be beat. We also received wonderful follow-thru from Cheryl & delivery on all six occasions was seamless. Highly recommend Elite Interiors & Cheryl.

Elite Interiors has completely breached their contractual obligation to work with Hooker furniture to replace defective workmanship products. On May 17, 2018 we purchased the following Hooker Furniture from Elite Interiors: Console 5072-85001; Accent End Table 5072-50001; Nightstand 5070-90016; Nightstand 5070-90016; King Bed 5070-90266; Mirror 5351-50003; Sanctuary Table 3005-85004 for a Total of $6,555.00. Shipping from warehouse $147. White Glove Delivery $1,047. Grand Total $7,749.00. The Furniture was delivered on Sunday July 22, 2018. The store was closed and there was no one to contact regarding quality concerns. However - WE DID ACCEPT THE DELIVERY. This was a HUGE mistake. We took dozens of pictures later that evening and also discovered damages that we did not see during the chaotic delivery process. We also took pictures of the quality issues. We sent the pictures and descriptions of the issues the very next morning to Elite Interiors. They are blaming us for accepting the order and that we should have not accepted delivery. So they basically said I was stuck and tough luck - even with the Hooker quality issues. After much pressure, Elite Interiors agreed to contact Hooker and review the pictures with Hooker Management. On August 8, 2018 - Elite Interiors notified me in writing via email that they have received approval from Hooker to replace the Headboard, Console and nightstand drawer. I have tried nearly a dozen times since August to get an update on the replacement order that they assured would be coordinated by Elite Interiors. There is zero progress. No accountability and no action is being taken by Elite Interiors to deliver on their written commitment to replace the furniture as well as schedule an in home technician to address the delivery damages. They are now me telling that Hooker Furniture is not replying to their requests for the replacement order and that I should be contacting Hooker to get the replacement. In the Elite Interiors contract it clearly states "We are the Manufacturers agent. All Merchandise we ship is from reputable companies that inspect their goods, but sometimes defective items get by. In order to present a claim on your behalf photographs that clearly show the defect must be sent to Elite Interiors along with a written description so that we can assist you in solving the problem. No factory we represent will make any refunds or take back furniture due to defects. They will only replace or repair items. In most cases defects are of minor nature and can be cleared up in the home by a professional furniture technician. Please remember that a certain amount of deluxing of your furniture may be required and that is your responsibility. NOTE: Elite Interiors, working with the manufacturer, will determine if an item needs to be repaired or replaced." NONE OF THIS WRITTEN COMMMITMENT has been completed by Elite Interiors or Hooker Furniture - even after having the commitment in writing on August 8, 2018 that the furniture would be replaced and they would schedule a technician to address repairs. I have complied with every ask from Elite Interiors during this process including taking pictures of each issue and documenting the issue. This total lack of support to deliver on their written promises is COMPLETELY unacceptable. They need to be held accountable to their agreement.

Buyers beware, I purchased an expensive bedroom set from Elite interiors it was a Micheal Armini bedroom set. After 6 months the dresser draw broke and the compnay send worse referbished pieces, I emailed and called them over 20 times with no response from either this company or the manufacture. Stay away.

The absolute worst experience ever !!!!!!! My wife and I ordered over $7K from this company on a few different orders. My last order they delivered 2 chest both were broke and acknowledged by the manager Jay as such . After months they redelivered 2 new ones , one was broke one was good . They told me to hold the broken one 1 year later that's correct one year later nothing no new piece no credit , numerous phone calls to them and the manager Jay when asked to speak to someone above Jay they told me there is no one , I asked if he was the President they said no he is the manger and the only one who could help me. So we decided to dispute the charge with the CC company there response was you signed the delivery receipt there is nothing we could do.knowing we were in contact with them sand over a year of them acknowledging that it was broke. I would say at all cost find another company to do business with . The most unprofessional company I have dealt with in years , and whatever you do ,do not act in good faith and sign for it if it is not right

Amazing prices. Horrible delivery. They use some delivery service that just does not care. My first delivery was in the warehouse 6-8 weeks befor delivery. was finally arranged and then the noon delivery showed at 9 pm. My current delivery has sat in the ware house approaching a month now and I was blown off when I proactively called and waas told we will get back to you in a week or so. Good price is not worth it.

I purchased a desk on the advise of Christine Conness in sales. The desk came unfinished on the backside, she told me it was finished. Delivery co. Wouldn’t take it back. Christine said “im sorry I thought it was finished” and then wouldn’t take it back or make it right. The store manager also took no accountability stating “ she can’t possible know all the casegood. He was rude and unapologetic. Can’t use the desk.anyone need a 2000.00 hooker rhapsody desk?buyer beware, they are incredibly dishonest

We are sorry that Ms. Fuller is not happy with her purchase. She did file a dispute with her credit card company & a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. After reviewing the facts presented by Ms. Fuller & the facts presented by Elite Interiors both her credit card company & the Better Business Bureau ruled in Elite Interiors' favor.
Elite Interiors has been my go - to place for over 12 years for design projects in now two homes. I am now working on filling our new Custom built Home - and having so much fun with it. It is coming together beautifully!
I have never been less than satisfied! The prices are amazing - the furniture quality is top notch - and the service, delivery and all communication steps in between have never been less than amazing! I have worked with Cheryl on many, many projects. I am just starting on yet another.
TRUST in them - I do - over and over and over!

I ordered an entire bedroom set from this co.
The dresser was delivered with a severed leg. The leg was literally in half, and the other half was never seen.
In addition, the front board of the upholstered bed was delivered with ink on it and the wood was scratched. The drawer of one of the 2 night tables did not open. My bench was never delivered, because supposedly it failed inspection to even get on the truck.
I refused the dresser and the foot board. I was told that everything would be repaired and rectified within 2 weeks.
It is now 3 weeks later, and I rcvd a call to redeliver the furniture. I asked the woman if the leg on the dresser was replaced. She said, "Yes". I then came to find out that the tucking company glued the leg together. I spoke to Margaret at Elite I told her that the repair was unacceptable. She said that according to the mfg, Bernhardt, that gluing the leg was appropriate. I then called Bernhardt only to find out that gluing the leg was not only unacceptable, it was dangerous due to the weight of the pc.
I still await my furniture.
Do yourself a favor, pay more and deal with a reputable company that will stand behind what they sell. This company pushes all of the problems onto the trucker and wants nothing to do with the issues.

We certainly apologize for any issues as we do not want unhappy customers. We have replaced the dresser, bench & the bed issues have been resolved & all have been delivered. Unfortunately the manufacturer would not approve the costs to repair the nightstand & elected to replace the nightstand. We received the replacement nightstand. Ms. Schwartz was not available for the 6/24/17 delivery & delivery has been confirmed for 7/8/17.

Dealing with the company itself went very smooth and their prices are great; however, if you order furniture from them and it is being delivered, be wary of the delivery company. They use 1st Choice Delivery out of Highpoint, North Carolina. The delivery company struck and damaged our mailbox and would not reimburse us. They acted concerned about it and stated they would send a check, but never did no matter how many times I called. It was a cheap mailbox, and I'm sure it was an accident, but it was rude to damage someone's property and not pay for it.

We certainly agree that the delivery company should have reimbursed you for this damage & are surprised that they did not do so. We have since changed delivery companies and are now using West Express. Sometime after changing delivery companies 1st Choice Delivery went out of business. We apologize that they did not follow through with their promise to reimburse you.
I had hunted a new sectional sofa for several years (yes, I know, I am fussy) and had about given up hope when I stumbled upon Elite Interiors while searching the web. I not only found the sofa I wanted, but the widest array of fabrics I had ever seen anywhere. And then I met Patti Perrou, their sales & design consultant. She was the second dream-come-true in this story. She could not have been more pleasant, more knowledgable or more helpful. And the story gets better from there: the sofa was $1400 less expensive than if I had purchased in my area (Tampa, FL); it was ready for shipment 4 weeks sooner than I had hoped; and I received "white glove" delivery and set up!

I bought two made to measure sofas by Hickory Chair. Patti Perrou was my consultant. I knew what I wanted and they sent a contract that went over the order which I signed and sent back. The sofas came within six weeks and were as ordered. Several months later I talked with Patti about an issue I was having and she had Margret called who works with customers if there is a problem. Everything was resoled within a few weeks. I cannot recommend Elite enough Karen McCallum
